Martin Bässler is a self-taught artist, grown up in an artists family,
and been in contact with art since childhood.
He has been working in many different media, such as traditional painting,
graphics, sculpture, ceramics, and jewelry design.

While working professionally as goldsmith and jewelry designer
during the last decades,
he began, at the late nineties of the past century,
with the ever growing capacity of processing power,
to focus his work also on creating digital graphics.

Being deeply intrigued, already since very young age,
by what is called at it´s best, the "algorithmic beauty" of natural forms,
he began to generate, simulate, and model virtual organisms, biotopes,
ecosystems, and scapes by using different 3D-applications.
Results of this ever surprising, and experimental venture are presented here.
